Mother of Renowned Hausa Singer Rarara Abducted in Katsina State.
Hajiya Halima Adamu, the mother of the well-known Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara, was abducted from her residence in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina State. The abduction took place around 1 am on Friday and was perpetrated by bandits who entered the village on foot without firing any shots.
A source from Kahutu village reported that the bandits swiftly seized the elderly woman despite other occupants being present in the house. They specifically targeted her and departed the scene without any resistance, armed with guns.
“We are praying for her safe return as she is highly esteemed in our village for her contributions. Her son, Rarara, has been very supportive and has brought significant development to our community,” the source stated.

Efforts to reach Rarara for comment were unsuccessful as calls to his phones went unanswered.
Katsina State has been grappling with insecurity, including incidents of kidnapping and banditry.
