New Naira Notes: Reasons redesigned the Currency

On October 26, 2022, , the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, made the announcement that new currency would be released to replace the existing denominations of 200, 500, and 1,000 currency in circulation.

2. A new design for the Naira note was introduced in order to combat the problem of people whose primary means of financial support come from the counterfeiting of currency.
