On July 13, 2013, a three-count charge of conspiracy, armed robbery, and kidnapping was brought against them by Lagos State, and they were arraigned and remanded in custody.
The victim was about to leave her home at 7, Unity Street in the Ogudu GRA neighbourhood of Lagos when she was kidnapped, according to Dr. Babajide Martins, the state director of public prosecution, who testified in court.
The prosecutor claims that the offences committed are against and punishable by Sections 297, 285 (2)a, and 291 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Laws.

Earlier this week, Justice Lateef Lawal Akapo declared that the prosecution had established its case beyond a reasonable doubt and gave the defendants a 10-year sentence for the first conspiracy count.
For the third count of kidnapping, they were given a sentence of 21 years in prison and the death penalty for the second count of armed robbery, Justice Lateef ruled.
