However, Nigeria’s Coach Ladan Bosso is unconcerned about the opposition’s credentials, preferring to focus on the strength of his own team and its ability to upset the apple cart at the familiar Cairo International Stadium.

“The outcome of our semi-final match against The Gambia will not be determined by previous results. They’ve been in great shape, and my boys have recovered well and are back in their element. It will be an exciting match, but I am confident in my team and our chances of reaching the Final on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged the Flying Eagles to go all-in and win the CAF U20 AFCON, which is currently underway in Egypt.

Sports Minister Sunday Dare, who arrived in Cairo on Sunday alongside former Nigerian international Daniel Amokachi, delivered President Buhari’s message to the team, encouraging the Flying Eagles to aim for the ultimate prize.

“Mr President, the entire country of Nigeria is proud of what you have already accomplished. That is the main reason Mr. President has directed me to come here to see you. The goal was to win a World Cup ticket, which you accomplished.

“Go for the grand prize now. You can replicate your performance at the WAFU B competition. “You can smell the trophy now, so take it slowly and work your way back to becoming African champions again,” Dare said.
