1) Deposit Money Banks Decry Low Amount of Old Notes

Three days after the Central Bank of Nigeria declared old N1,000, N500, and N200 notes to be legal tender, Deposit Money Banks report that they are running low on the old currencies. Several bank customers who attempted to withdraw funds on Wednesday were afflicted with severe hardship and distress due to the occurrence.

 

2) Guber polls: INEC begin Distribution of Sensitive Materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, began distributing sensitive materials for the governorship and House of Assembly elections on Saturday on Wednesday.
