1) Cui Jinachun, the Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, has urged for cooperation between the Asian and Nollywood film industries to create films that will foster harmony, peace, and unity between the two continents.
At the Fourth Asian Film Festival’s opening ceremony and movie screening on Monday in Abuja, Jinachun made the announcement.
2) Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, asserted that the current All Progressives Congress broke its commitments to restructure the country when it ran for office in 2015.

3) In Kolo village, in the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, suspected terrorists have kidnapped four people; a man, a wife, and two children.
This online newspaper learned that the suspects sought N10 million in ransom after kidnapping the victims and rejected the old naira notes.
4) Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, the impeached speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, announced on Tuesday that he would start legal proceedings against the lawmakers who had wrongfully removed him from office.
The claimed impeachment of Mr. Speaker and the suspension of seven members, according to Aribisogan, who insisted that due process was not followed, are illegal, extra vires, null and void, and have no legal consequence.
