You are all aware that the Npower programme is a very popular empowerment programme that has positively impacted many Nigerian youths in recent years, despite the management’s lax attitude towards ensuring that the programme achieves its best objective.
The Npower programme is an empowerment programme launched by the Federal Government of Nigeria to help people gain job experience and entrepreneurship skills in order to become employable/entrepreneurs. Beneficiaries are recruited to serve and learn skills for one year while receiving stipends to help them meet certain responsibilities while serving.
New beneficiaries are supposed to be enrolled every year because the programme is designed for one year, but this does not appear to be the case, and even stipend payments to existing beneficiaries are being delayed. A situation that necessitates scammers devising new ways to defraud vulnerable Npower volunteers.
However, the purpose of this post is to inform you on how to avoid being scammed as a Npower volunteer or prospective Npower applicant:
1) Do not send money to anyone to take the Npower Exam! There is currently no Npower exam taking place.
2) Npower is no longer accepting new applicants! So stay away from the bogus Npower recruitment portal.
