The management of NSCDC has issued a warning to the general public and prospective applicants who applied for the recently concluded NSCDC Recruitment 2022/2023 to be on the lookout for job scammers who are circulating a fake date for the NSCDC aptitude test. In an update provided by NSCDC management on January 8, 2023, signed by DCC Olusola Odumost, Director of public relations at NSCDC National Headquarters Abuja, it was stated that the attention of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has been drawn to an incorrectly crafted message to applicants about the recently advertised NSCDC 2022 recruitment exercise that has been circulating in the media, various social media platforms, and WhatsApp groups.

The message reads, in part, “The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to inform the general public that the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will be held on January 8, 2023 in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Fraudsters are therefore cautioned to be prepared to face the full force of the law if they continue this criminal scheme to amass wealth at the expense of desperate job seekers who are vulnerable and can easily fall victim due to their antics and their desperation to obtain employment.

The recruitment, enlistment, and promotion exercises for the NSCDC are coordinated and supervised by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Service Board (CDCFIB), which is chaired by the Minister of the Interior, Ogeni Rauf Aregbesola.
