Orji Uzor Kalu, Senate Chief Whip, met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday.

 

Ejes Gist News Nigeria reports that Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, stated that it is his turn to serve as Senate President of Nigeria.

When speaking to reporters in Abuja at the time, Kalu imitated Bola Tinubu by saying “it is my turn.”

 

On Tuesday afternoon, he met with President Buhari, presented him with his certificate of return, and informed him of his desire to become the next Senate President of Nigeria.

 

This afternoon, I was welcomed to the State House by President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR).

Kalu wrote on his verified Facebook page, “I also informed Mr. President of my intention to run for Senate President in the 10th National Assembly.”
