Vice Chairman of the South West Zonal Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olasoji Adagunodo, has passed away.
According to reports, Adagunodo passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness in the United States of America.

Former Osun State PDP Chairman Adagunodo, according to sources close to him, travelled to the United States shortly after the general elections for a routine medical checkup but did not return.

Adagunodo was a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly and hailed from the Obokun local government area in Osun State.

Before his death, Adagunodo was engaged in a power struggle with Sunday Bisi, the current chairman of the Osun PDP.
Due to the conflict, the party in the state suffered successive electoral setbacks.
Adagunodo was reportedly elevated to the position of Southwest PDP Zonal Vice Chairman in an effort to mend fences between the two Osun PDP leaders.
