Peter Obi speaks on affinity with five aggrieved PDP Governors
On Tuesday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for president, provided details regarding his relationship with a number of disgruntled PDP governors (PDP).
He revealed this when chatting to Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue State, in Makurdi.
Obi claimed that their only agreement is based on a shared desire to make Nigeria a better place.
The one agreement I have with them, according to Obi, is that they care deeply about Nigeria.
During the current situation of Attacks in Benue State, the former Anambra State Governor criticised the All Progressive Congress for acting without leadership.
Mr. Ortom received accolades from Mr. Obi for tackling security issues in Benue State at his own risk and convenience.
On his part, Ortom advised Mr. Obi to seek the support of other prominent presidential contenders while pledging to represent the interests of the people.

The governor claimed that he would have been working for the Labour party candidate if he had not joined the PDP.
Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Okezie Ikepeazu of Abia State, and Mr. Ortom are a few of the PDP governors that are upset.
Recall that the aforementioned governors demanded that PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu resign so that a southerner could replace him due to a prior commitment.
Some speculate that Mr. Obi would receive backing from the irate PDP Governors in the 2023 presidential elections.
