Isiguzoro stated that the Ime-Obi has decided that the Igbos should support Tinubu’s presidency until a court of competent jurisdiction rules otherwise.

Isiguzoro told Ejesgist Media Limited that Obi is the candidate for the future.

According to Isiguzoro: “At this time, we will not associate ourselves with Igbos who argue that Asiwaju should not be sworn in on May 29 until the tribunal and the Supreme Court determine who will become president.

“They observed instances in which it is improper to present a trophy to a football match’s winner while the game is still in progress, just as the election process continues until the Supreme Court issues its mandate.

“Ohanaeze, after due consultations with Southeast governors, Igbo elders, Ime-Obi, and the general assembly in Enugu, decided to caution all stakeholders in the Igbo project to be mindful of their words and not to portray Ndigbos as being against Tinubu, as the repercussions of such actions would fall back on our shoulders and the Igbo populace, who are primarily traders leaving outside Igbo-speaking states. The vast majority of them are located in the southwest, specifically in Lagos State.

“We warn all those utilising the Igbo platform to allow the court to do its job, as Ohanaeze has nothing to lose.” Those who argue that Tinubu should not be sworn in are calling for an interim government, which is extremely satanic and evil and does not represent the interests of Ndigbos.

Isiguzoro stated that the organisation would not permit certain elements to pitch Igbos against the incoming president.

He added, “That is their opinion, but Ohanaeze will attend his inauguration and avoid conflict with the incoming president.

“The position of Ohanaeze is crystal clear; we will continue to support whoever INEC declares to be the president, and with the full support of the Igbo governors in Rivers State, Ohanaeze is urging those agitating for an interim government to abandon the idea because it is demonic.

“We believe that everyone should support Tinubu’s inauguration, but that should not prevent them from performing their duties. Because Ndigbo has moved on, we are calling on all 52 of our affiliated organisations that Ime-Obi has mandated to cease all agitation for the 2023 election.

Prior to the upcoming election, he urged the LP presidential candidate to begin constructing bridges of significance.

“Peter Obi is the candidate of the future; no one should use this election to sow discord between Igbos and Yorubas, and no one should pick a fight with Tinubu that they cannot win.” Igbo merchants from across would respond to the proclamation of a few “elders.”
