Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 election, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and Ayo Adebanjo, the head of the Yoruba political hierarchy, all arrived in Enugu on Sunday.
Obasanjo and Adebanjo, who are rumored to have endorsed the former Anambra governor’s bid for the presidency ahead of the 2023 elections, were welcomed by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu.
Ejesgist.ng gathered that Obi, Adebanjo, Obasanjo, and other dignitaries are in Enugu to attend John Nnia Nwodo, a former president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo70th ,’s birthday celebration, which is taking place at St. Mulumba Catholic Church in New Haven.

Ejesgist.ng reports that Ugwuanyi, who is a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Enugu North in next year’s election, is among the group of five governors (G5) that are at dagger-drawn with the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The G5 governors led by Nyesom Wike are yet to make their choice of presidential candidate known to their supporters.
