‘Pick up your phone & add your voice’ — APC begs as US president, Joe Biden refuses to congratulate Tinubu
The APC has bemoaned the unwillingness of Joe Biden, the president of the United States of America, to congratulate Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, on his victory in the presidential election.
According to information obtained by Ejes Gist News, the APC made this known through Femi Fani-Kayode, a spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu presidential campaign council.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Femi-Fani Kayode, who’s notorious for his garrulity, has dragged Joe Biden, US president on social media over his failure to congratulate the Nigerian president-elect, Bola Tinubu on his victory at the just concluded presidential poll.
The US president is yet to call or issue a congratulatory statement in regards to the outcome of the February 25 polls.
The election, which was reputedly manipulated, had produced Tinubu, candidate of the ruling party as winner.
FFK wrote, “Whether @JoeBiden calls to congratulate him or not @officialABAT is the President-elect of the biggest, richest, most populous, most advanced & most enlightened nation in Africa & the Western world’s biggest trading partner on the continent. They need us as much as we need them.
“Yes the American State Department and the American Ambassador to Nigeria both congratulated Asiwaju. For this, we are eternally grateful & it reflects a measure of respect.
“However its time for Joe to pick up the phone & add his voice. We are a big nation: we deserve no less.”
