Another Police Shooting In Lagos As Officer shoots Lawyer
Unspeakable events led to the shooting and death of Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer, by a police officer in the Lagos State neighbourhood of Ajah.
Ejesgist.ng gathered that the lawyer, her sister, and four kids were driving away from a restaurant in their car at around 11 am when a police officer tried to pull them over but instead fired at the driver.

Sources claim that the police officer, who was accompanied by a group of police officers, shot the woman as she attempted to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge and then fled the scene.
After being taken to the hospital in a hurry, the woman was declared dead.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police, confirmed the incident and called it regrettable and avoidable.

He did, however, add that the affected officer had been detained and is being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
“Unfortunate and preventable incident that was,” he wrote. Two other ASPs who were with the shooter have since been arrested. They must be transferred to the SCID for additional investigation.
