A young guitarist is said to have collapsed and died while worshipping God in a church.
According to sources, the deceased lay down at the altar for the worship session after playing the guitar like never before, and all but the deceased stood up after the session.

Jerry, a young Nigerian guitarist from Delta state, is said to have died after slumping at the altar of a church while worshipping God.
The Godfrey Okoye University Enugu and Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) graduate died on Sunday, May 2, according to Facebook user Jackson, who posted images of the young man on his page.

Jerry was a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, according to photos on his Facebook page (RCCG)
Jerry laid down at the altar for the prayer session, according to Jackson, after playing the guitar as he’d never played before. Except for the dead, everybody stood up after the session. They lifted him only to discover that he was no longer alive.
Jackson penned the text; “He wasn’t ill at all. His mother stated that he has gone to be with the Lord, that he died on the altar while worshipping God, that the way he played yesterday (the Bass Guitar) was unlike anything he had ever played before, that he Knelt worshipping and later lay down until everyone was up but he was still there before they came to raise him and discovered he had gone to be with the Lord. Beckley Marokuty Miles, another acquaintance, said that the young man slumped and died in the church. Jerry, he said, was a devout Christian who led a life worthy of imitation.
“In church, he collapsed and died. Jerry was a devout Christian who led a life that was worthy of imitation. I’d like to quickly remind us of the verse that states when a believer dies, we do not mourn like the rest of the world does. Jerry has left this world to be with the Lord “he said.
