Village chiefs arrested over , railway workers rescued

Two village chiefs were detained in connection with the attack on the on January 7, according to the Edo State Government.

The tip was provided by Chris Nehikhare, Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, on Wednesday following the State Executive Council meeting in Benin.

Nehikhare reported that Edo had requested assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international organizations.

He claimed that letters had been sent to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the Ministry of Health, and other organizations, but “unfortunately they refused to come to our aid.”
