Kemi Olunloyo, a Nigerian journalist, has disclosed the reason for the recent rift between Nigerian superstar Davido and his best friend and celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest.

According to Olunloyo, the issue stems from rumours that Davido and his ex-girlfriend Chioma are expecting a child.

Olunloyo asserted that the Cubana Chief Priest was the source of the pregnancy news leak to bloggers.

According to reports, the rumours have caused tension between the two friends, leading them to unfollow each other on social media. Also, Cubana Chief Priest did not promote Davido’s concert in Lagos, which is unusual given their formerly close relationship.

Many were surprised by the rift, as Cubana Chief Priest had previously praised Davido’s new album “Timeless,” stating that what was intended to destroy the singer only made him stronger. He had stated that tribulations were inevitable, but that the ability to overcome them with style is excessive grace.

However, Olunloyo has expressed optimism on her social media page that the two friends will reconcile.

“Davido and Cubana Chief Priest are going to be fine. Reportedly, they are feuding over Pasquale’s alleged leak of Hermadine’s pregnancy, but Davido and Chioma were separated when this incident occurred. What guidance would you give Chioma?”

Reportedly, Davido and Chioma ended their relationship earlier this year, but neither has confirmed nor denied the rumours.
