Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former president of the Senate has stated that, no one is opposed to the demands put forth by Governor Nyesom Wike and his irate colleagues also known as G5 Governors.

Among other things, The governors have been calling for the resignation of the party chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, after Atiku Abubakar won the party’s presidential primary election.

Atiku Abubakar, the party’s candidate for president, and the majority of the party’s leaders, however, have resisted caving in to the demand and have insisted that, if at all possible, it would only take place after the election.

“Atiku cannot decide to do this on his own. On Monday’s The Morning Show on Arise TV, Saraki assured viewers that the problem was one of timing.

“The demands made by the G-5 are supported by all parties. It all depends on when it will occur.

“These are the topics we are discussing right now. Nobody disagrees with what they are saying, but we are working to ensure that the timing, when it will occur, and our approach are addressed.

“The election is what’s important before us right now, but the Chairman himself didn’t say he wants to wait.

“I don’t see Atiku taking the oath of office in May 2023 while the Chairman is still in that position. I fail to see it. It all comes down to timing and strategy.
