16 soldiers die in fatal accident
A fatal road accident that happened on Friday claimed the lives of 16 members of the Indian army.
The incident happened at Zema in North Sikkim. The tragedy occurred as a result of the security personnel’s vehicle making a sharp turn and skidding off.

“A road accident involving an Army truck occurred in Zema, North Sikkim, claiming the lives of 16 Army personnel and injuring four more.
The Indian Army released a statement saying, “A rescue mission was immediately launched, and four injured soldiers have been air evacuated.”

The Indian Minister of Defence, Rajnath Singh, expressed his condolences for the fatalities on Twitter in response to the accident.

“Extremely heartbroken over the deaths of Indian Army personnel caused by a car accident in North Sikkim.
“The nation is sincerely appreciative of their service and dedication.
