Her muscles tense up uncontrollably as a result of the disease.
As the body gradually locks into rigid positions, the condition ultimately renders sufferers as “human statues,” rendering them unable to walk or speak.

In a tearful Instagram post on Thursday, the 54-year-old singer apologized to her followers and said she had to postpone her European tour due to it.

Even though we are still learning about this uncommon condition, we now know it is the reason for all the spasms I have been experiencing.
Unfortunately, these spasms interfere with every aspect of my daily life, occasionally making it difficult for me to walk and preventing me from using my vocal chords to sing as I normally would.

My precious children are supporting me and helping me, and I have an excellent team of doctors working with me to get better.

When she postponed the North American dates of her Courage world tour from March 9 to April 22, Celine gave her first indication that she was having health problems.
According to a press release on her website, “severe and persistent muscle spasms” forced her to cancel the shows.
Three months prior, she had to postpone the beginning of her Las Vegas comeback residency due to the same health problem.
Celine recently underwent treatment for severe and persistent muscle spasms that prevent her from performing, and her recovery is taking longer than she had hoped, according to a statement on her website.
“Her medical staff continues to assess and manage the condition,” it says.
