Tems Oscar Nomination: Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, a Nigerian sensational singer, has made history by becoming the first Nigerian artist to earn a nomination for an Academy Award.
According to the information gathered by this online newspaper, the nomination list for the 2023 Oscar awards was made public on Tuesday, January 23, 2023, with Tems bringing honor and glory to Nigeria.

Tems was recognized for her work as a songwriter on ‘Lift Me Up,’ which was included as one of the soundtracks for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ This contribution earned her a nomination.
The voting period for the Oscars in 2023 will take place from March 2nd through the 7th, and the ceremony itself will take place at the Dolby Theater on the evening of March 12th, hosted by comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
