Thugs Set Court Ablaze In Abia

 

Ikwuano High Court, which was built by Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State, was set ablaze by suspected thugs.

The security agencies in the state have been urged by the government of Abia to find and prosecute those responsible for the arson attack.

Chief Uche Ihediwa, SAN, the State’s Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, announced the decision in a statement following an impromptu inspection of the area by him and his team to assess the extent of the damage.

The Chief Justice expressed shock over the devastation of the courthouse in a statement that was signed by the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Anyim Agbai.

The people would now have to travel to Umuahia for their cases, he continued, which would have a negative impact on their quest for justice.

He issued a challenge to the local security services to make sure the perpetrators of the act are exposed.
