Tinubu wins again as Court nullifies Nwajiuba’s Case

A suit that was brought by Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba against , APC presidential candidate’s candidacy has been thrown out by a federal high court in Abuja.

The suit sought to have Bola Tinubu’s candidacy nullified (APC).

In addition, the lawsuit aimed to have the primary election that selected Atiku Abubakar as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the presidential election in 2023 declared null and void.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit that was filed through Okere Nnamdi alleged that the primary election that produced Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate was tainted by corruption and widespread vote buying.

They also claimed that the majority of the delegates were bought with dollars. These allegations were included in the lawsuit.

In addition to this, the plaintiffs questioned Tinubu’s educational background and his means of financial support.

In the case involving Atiku, the plaintiffs alleged that he, too, engaged in the practise of buying votes.

In the judgement that was handed down on Thursday, the presiding judge, Inyang Ekwo, stated that the court did not have the authority to hear the case because “the plaintiffs do not have the locus standi to file the suit.”
