APC Women Leaders Kidnapped After Attending Gov Sani’s Inauguration
On Monday, two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were kidnapped along the Manini flashpoint in the Birnin Gwari local governments area of Kaduna State while returning home from the inauguration of the state’s new governor, Senator Uba Sani.
Ishaq Usman Kasai, chairman of the Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union (BEPU), disclosed this to journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday morning.
According to him, the bandits blocked the road and kidnapped dozens of individuals, including two female APC leaders.
He stated that the abducted women leaders are Hajiya Lami Awarware, the leader of the APC in Birnin Gwari, and Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, her assistant.
Further investigation revealed that the victims were abducted on Tuesday and taken to the forest by their captors.

However, according to the chairman of the BEPU, the kidnappers have not yet made contact with the families of the victims, nor have they demanded ransom from any of the victims.
On Monday, BEPU asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assist Birnin Gwari Emirate in combating the insecurity plaguing the Local Government Area.
DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), did not answer or return calls placed to his known telephone number as of the time this report was filed.
