Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant (Public Communication) to Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, stated on Sunday that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, has refused to participate in debates and scrutiny because he has so much to hide.
According to him, Tinubu’s refusal to “open himself up to scrutiny by avoiding debates, non-partisan town hall meetings, and live interviews” exemplifies the biblical principle that “the wicked flee when no one pursues them, but the righteous are as courageous as a lion.”

In a statement titled “Reveal your real name, background, Atiku campaign dares Tinubu,” Shaibu claimed that the APC candidate’s entire life and persona were based on falsehood and that he was unable to answer the questions, so he decided to continue running in circles.
He stated, “However, these disputes did not begin today. Abdulrafiu Babatunde Tinubu, a former head of the civil service of Lagos State and the eldest member of the Tinubu family, published a book titled “Onijumu Wura: The Tinubu Dynasty of Kakawa, Lagos” in 2007. (The Tree).

“Abdulrafiu included the names of all Tinubu dynasty members from the 19th century to the present. The name of Bola Tinubu was conspicuously absent from the book. The author asserted that anyone whose name was not included in the book was not an authentic Tinubu family member.
“Atiku Abubakar’s history has never been in doubt. Atiku’s father was the Fulani merchant and farmer Garba Abubakar, while his mother was Aisha Kande. Atiku was named after his grandfather, Atiku Abdulqadir, who migrated from Wurno, Sokoto State, to Kojoli village, Adamawa State. Inuwa Dutse, his maternal grandfather, migrated from Dutse, Jigawa State, to Jada, Adamawa State.
“What is Tinubu’s origin? What are their names? Who was the father of Tinubu? What was his identity? What is the full name of Tinubu? Is it Bolatito, Omobolanle, Abolaji, or Bolarinwa?
“Although it is not uncommon for leaders to use a shortened version of their names for stylistic purposes, the full form of their names is generally known to the public.
“During the Second Republic, Bisi Onabanjo, Bola Ige, Bisi Akande, and many others from the Southwest region were renowned political figures. Even so, everyone knew that the Governor of Ogun State during the Second Republic was Olabisi Onabanjo, as was the case with Ajibola Ige and the rest of these examples.
“However, it is perplexing that the APC presidential candidate goes by the name Bola Tinubu alone. No one is aware of the prefix or suffix of his name, “Bola.”

Tinubu also appears to have skipped elementary and secondary school in the United States, making him the only presidential candidate in Nigerian history not to include his primary and secondary school information on his INEC Form CF001.
“Earlier in 1999, while running for governor of Lagos State, he lied under oath that he had attended St. Paul’s School, Aroloya and Government College Ibadan, but his credentials were soon challenged by the late legendary lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN), and it was established that Tinubu had no classmates in primary or secondary school.
“To avoid further embarrassment, he has decided to remain silent about his elementary and secondary education. Instead of telling the truth, Festus Keyamo, his campaign spokesman, shamelessly claimed on Arise Television that Tinubu did not attend primary or secondary school and should therefore be commended for overcoming the odds.
“They are inquiring about the required primary school for secondary education. We want the younger generation to recognise this as a virtue, not a vice. “In those days, great men took exams at home,” said Keyamo. Given that Keyamo sued the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2000 for clearing Tinubu of school certificate forgery, this is complete nonsense.
“Since the APC continues to insist that they will not present their presidential candidate for media scrutiny, we would like to request that the media handlers of this particular Bola Tinubu provide the country and its citizens with the full disclosure of his name.
“The country and its people need to know whether the man running for president goes by the name Adebola, Ajibola, or simply Bola(lokan).
“The nation will be most appreciative if the APC can lift this sliver of secrecy surrounding their presidential candidate, which they do not want the Nigerian people to know.
“It is commonly stated that you can fool some people all the time and all the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time. “Nigerians must not allow a stranger, an anonymous man with no track record, to control the fate of more than 200 million people.”
