Paul Pelosi: Intruder attacks US Speaker Pelosi’s husband at home

Paul Pelosi, the husband of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was injured by an intruder who broke into their San Francisco home on Friday, according to her office, necessitating hospital care.

According to a statement from Pelosi’s spokesman Drew Hammill, an attacker entered into the Democratic leader’s San Francisco home early this morning and violently beat him.

“The attacker is in jail, and the attack’s motive is being looked into. After being transported to the hospital, Paul Pelosi is now receiving great care and is anticipated to fully recover.

The attack’s political motivation was not immediately apparent. The Speaker, who is next in line for the Presidency, was not present when it happened in San Francisco.
