Tribunal Should End Before Swearing-In — Religious Leaders Lend Their Voices With A Call For Justice
The Tribunal should end all election petitions before swearing in on May 29th, Bishop Matthew Ndago stated.
The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, most revered Matthew Ndago, wants the judiciary to conclude all electoral cases before swearing in on May 29th.
The Archbishop who made this call in his Easter message in Kaduna added that the winners of the 2023 elections should begin to find ways of uniting the people and be leaders for all, irrespective of ideological differences.
Bishop Matthew Said “Democracy, as we all know, is a process, and elections are only a part of that process, which requires the participation of all citizens at various stages and levels. With the election process now almost over, all citizens’ attention should now turn to the elected to provide the promise they have given through good governance.”
Speaking Further, he said, “Ideally, all pettions against the elected should end before the swearing in ceremony, which also should mark the provision of democracy through good governance.”
