Labour Party Chairman Lamidi Apapa Vows To Fight On Despite Harassment At Tribunal
Lamidi Apapa, the factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, who encountered harassment and opposition at the Presidential Petition Tribunal from party supporters has vowed to continue fighting.
Apapa vowed to return to court on Friday despite the backlash he received at the Presidential Election Tribunal Court.
He believes that his authority as the legitimate interim National Chairman of the party is unquestionable.
Eko Lamidi Apapa, the factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, has announced that he will again storm the Presidential Petition Tribunal on Friday despite the harassment he endured on Wednesday.
This online platform recalls that Apapa, who had earlier fought with party members over a courtroom seat, was booed out of court by supporters of the national chairman of the party, Julius Abure.
The court refused to recognise the two groups and postponed the hearing until May 19.

However, during an interview on Thursday’s Morning Show on channels Television, Apapa pledged to appear in court on Friday.
He also accused the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the party’s suspended national chairman, Julius Abure, of sponsoring thugs to remove him from the Presidential Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.
According to him, he was in court on Wednesday because “as the legitimate acting national chairman of the party, it was my responsibility to represent the organisation.”
