Why I won’t be worried if Fubara turns against me – Wike
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State stated on Monday that he will not be concerned if his successor, Siminialayi Fubara, turns against him because Fubara serves the state and not him.
Wike stated on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme, which was monitored by Ejes Gist News Nigeria that he will not hold a grudge against the incoming Rivers governor if he disregards his advice.

“He does not exist to serve me. We exist to serve the populace. The issue for leaders is that you supported someone for office; did your actions help him succeed or fail?
“You want him to come to your residence to take orders? Once you have left office, you respect yourself and say, “I’ve done my part.” It is acceptable if he wants my advice, and it is acceptable if he does not.

However, it is unacceptable for me to begin each day by instructing him to do this and that. This is why people fail, said Wike.
