Wales Fan: A man, who the Welsh FA has identified as Kevin Davies, is believed to have been in Doha with his son and friends when he fell ill and passed away on Friday from natural causes.

The Wales Football Supporters’ Association’s fan embassy tweeted: “Unfortunately we have lost one of the Red Wall yesterday in Qatar, our sincere condolences go out to his son here in Doha and his family back in Wales. Peace be upon him.

The Football Association of Wales’ (FAW) chief executive, Noel Mooney, tweeted: “So sorry to hear that one of our supporters has passed away here.

We offer the family our condolences and, of course, are here to help in any way we can.

According to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the family of Mr. Davies was receiving assistance.
