Tinubu recognized the presence of poverty and suffering in Nigeria but emphasized the need to address these challenges head-on. He stressed the importance of eradicating banditry and terrorism to enable farmers to resume agricultural activities.

The delegation included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, and others.

To overcome these difficulties, Tinubu suggested improving security to allow farmers to return to their fields and emphasized the need for infrastructural development. He pointed out that even if food is produced, poor road conditions could result in significant post-harvest losses.

Tinubu also urged Nigerians to shift their value system to progress as a nation. He called for an end to rent-seeking behaviors and economic sabotage, such as smuggling and theft of public infrastructure.
