Federal Government of Nigeria Launches Committee to Review National Minimum Wage Amidst Economic Challenges
In a significant move aimed at addressing economic challenges and mitigating the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, the federal government of Nigeria inaugurated a 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage. Vice President Kashim Shettima presided over the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the council chamber of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
The primary mandate of the committee is to recommend a new National Minimum Wage for the country, reflecting the current economic realities and the hardships faced by the populace.
