The Nigerian Army has initiated a fresh military campaign in Plateau state called Operation Hakorin Damisa IV, which translates to “Leopard’s teeth” in the local language.
Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, officially launched this operation in the Mangu Local Government Area on a Saturday.
The primary objective of this operation is to put an end to the ongoing wave of attacks and violence in not only the Mangu LGA but also other regions within the state.

According to our correspondent, over the past two months, a staggering number of over 300 individuals lost their lives in Mangu Local Government Area (LGA) and nearby communities due to a succession of assaults by armed assailants.
Following his interaction with the troops assigned to execute Operation Hakorin Damisa, the Chief of Army Staff proceeded to convene a gathering with the community stakeholders at a Pilot Primary school in the area.
