In a tragic incident, suspected Boko Haram gunmen have attacked Bassa community in the Shiroro local government area of Niger State, killing 20 people. The assault took place on Thursday and involved over 50 armed militants who targeted the community in broad daylight.

The gunmen gathered residents and selected 20 adults for execution at close range. This gruesome act has sent shockwaves throughout the region.

Among the victims, ten young men who refused to join the sect were beheaded. The militants forced community members to carry the severed heads while they filmed and took photos, sending a chilling message to those who resist their recruitment efforts.
