Boko Haram Kills 20, Beheads 10 in Fresh Niger State Attack

In a tragic incident, suspected Boko Haram gunmen have attacked Bassa community in the Shiroro local government area of Niger State, killing 20 people. The assault took place on Thursday and involved over 50 armed militants who targeted the community in broad daylight.

The gunmen gathered residents and selected 20 adults for execution at close range. This gruesome act has sent shockwaves throughout the region.

A source from the community revealed the militants’ ultimatum: join their ranks or face a similar fate. “They told us that anybody who refused to be recruited into their fold will be given a similar treatment. Representing Niger East Senatorial district, Senator Musa condemned the attack, calling it “barbaric, heartless, and inhuman.” His statement underscores the urgent need for stronger security measures to protect vulnerable communities in Niger State.
