NAF Helicopter Crashes in Kaduna State, Preliminary Investigations Underway

In the early hours of Monday, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter tragically crashed in Tami village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., prompting immediate response from both local residents and NAF personnel.

Residents who witnessed the crash reported hearing a loud sound, which drew first responders to the scene. Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen the pilot emerging from the wreckage. Following this, a team of military officers from the Nigerian Air Force arrived promptly to secure the area and initiate an initial investigation.

“They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorized access and to ensure the safety of the villagers. The officers also began preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time,” Vanguard quoted a local resident as saying.
