President Bola Tinubu has interrupted his holiday to officiate the signing of Nigeria’s 2024 budget, amounting to an impressive N28.7 trillion. The formal enactment took place during a succinct ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

President Tinubu was joined by key figures, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas, underscoring the collaborative nature of this significant fiscal event.

The high-profile gathering also included the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Abubakar; and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu. Their presence highlighted the diverse expertise contributing to the budget’s formulation and execution.

Notable attendees further comprised the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje; and the Chairman of the Senate Appropriation Committee, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, among other influential figures.
