Popular disc jockey, Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, is currently reveling in high spirits after receiving an invitation to Buckingham Palace from British monarch, King Charles.
This invitation was extended in celebration of the King’s Trust Awards 2024, an annual event that supports scientists in the mid to late stages of their postdoctoral research and celebrates young individuals who have made positive contributions to their communities.

DJ Cuppy, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, shared a copy of her invitation on her X page, captioned, “I’m off to Buckingham Palace.” The invite from the Master of The King’s Household read: “The Master of The King’s Household is commanded by His Majesty to invite Ms Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola to a reception to be given at Buckingham Palace by the King in celebration of The King’s Trust Awards 2024.”
The event, held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, was graced by numerous dignitaries. As an international ambassador of the project, DJ Cuppy presented two prestigious awards at the event—the Global Sustainability Award and the Global Young Achiever Award.
