Kano Police Refute Reports on Emir Bayero Leading Jumma’t Prayers at Kofar Kudu Central Mosque.
The Kano State Police Command has denied circulating reports that Dethroned Emir Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero will lead the Jumma’t prayers at Kofar Kudu Central Mosque.
In a statement issued today, Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel clarified that Dethroned Emir Bayero will observe his Jumma’t prayers at Nasarawa Palace, where he resides.

The CP assured that all necessary security arrangements have been made to facilitate this.
The statement further noted that Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II is also expected to observe his Jumma’t prayers at the Palace, with adequate security measures in place.
The Police Command urged the public to disregard the false information spreading on social media and continue their activities without fear.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to ignore the false reports and misinformation circulating on social media and to go about their activities without fear of molestation or intimidation.
The Police will continue to provide the necessary security to ensure that residents observe their Friday congregational prayers peacefully and without threats to their lives and property,” the statement noted.
