1) Several employees of the United States Embassy in Nigeria were murdered in the Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State. According to sources, the embassy officials’ convoy came under fire while passing through the area.

 

2) President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria on Tuesday after a lengthy trip to London. At approximately 4:45 pm, the President arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

3) The Senior Special Assistant to the President for Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, asserts that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has created 12 million new jobs in agriculture alone. In a television interview, Shehu praised the administration’s performance in numerous areas, including security, power, and anti-corruption efforts.

 

4) President-elect Bola Tinubu has met with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, one of his opponents in the 2023 elections held on February 25. 8) The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has confirmed the arrest of two of its officials, Apata Odunayo and Ogbuji Tochukwu, who were allegedly involved in a fight that resulted in the death of Abel Isah, a cadet in the Sokoto Zonal Command of the anti-graft commission. The suspects have been brought before the Chief Magistrates’ Court, Gwiwa in Sokoto on charges of criminal conspiracy and murder.

 

9) Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima have urged the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) to reject Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) request for a live broadcast of proceedings. Tinubu and Shettma characterised the application as a waste of the court’s time.

 

10) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, has pledged that women will be adequately represented in his administration. Tinubu, who was represented at a book presentation in Abuja by the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Betta Edu, stated that Nigerian women have paid a price for the nation’s development, peace, and unity.
