We live in a society where people are too relaxed, timid, and grossly insensitive to issues that have a direct effect on their lives.

I have drawn the attention of the political class and leaders of the south-south to the evil that is before us countless times yet nobody seems to care about what will soon befall us as a people. This is a tragedy of monumental proportions.

However, I will continue to draw the attention of our leaders because I believe that we live in a country where free speech is guaranteed by the constitution and this write-up is simply the expression of my opinion on a burning national issue that has become the subject of much public and private discussion in Nigeria. I have no apology to anyone for the contents of this write-up.

It is regrettable if anyone feels offended by it. My intention is not to offend but to state the facts and set the records straight.

Over 12 Police officers were brutally murdered in Delta State recently by Fulani herdsmen without repercussions and without a corresponding force to bring the perpetrators to book.it is a sad commentary on the history of our nation.

We have been surrounded by the enemies of God and we now live in constant fear of murderous Fulani terrorists yet we are comfortable with it.

I have always advocated for the South-south security summit and the need to protect our people from these bloodthirsty demons of war yet our people pay deaf ears to my pleas and treat it with reckless insensitivity.

We must unite and take control of the security situation in the South-south before things get out of hand.

Waiting for external assistance or relying on the government is not the solution. Our lands have been taken away, and the safety of our people is at risk. Farming has become a dangerous venture due to these killer herdsmen. Monarchs have been slain in Delta, Imo, Ondo, and Ekiti states.

We mustn’t wait for the military; we must take matters into our own hands. We must confront this evil before us.

Once we drive them away from our land, we can reclaim our farms, reclaim our freedom, reclaim our confidence, reclaim our dignity, and secure our land.

Once this is achieved, we will be at peace with man and God. May God deliver us from the destruction that lies ahead of us.
