Presidency Refutes Claims of Multiple Budgets in 2024 Fiscal Year.

Temitope Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, has firmly denied allegations that the Federal Government (FG) plans to implement four separate budgets within the 2024 fiscal year.

Ajayi addressed these rumours following a statement from civic organization BudgITng, which raised concerns about a potential 2024 supplementary budget.

According to Ajayi the National Assembly has only approved the extension of the implementation period for the capital components of the 2023 budget, along with its supplementary budget, to December 2024.

In a post on X, Ajayi wrote: “Yesterday, BudgITng raised a false alarm based on rumours that the FG is planning a 2024 supplementary budget. It is important to state that the FG is not planning to run four budgets within a fiscal year as being alleged.
