Kidnapper buries 3-year-old boy alive after collecting N150,000 ransom of N800,000
A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Katsina for allegedly kidnapping and murdering his victim.
The Public Relations Officer of the Katsina police command, CSP Gambo Isah, issued a press release stating, “On April 12, 2023, at approximately 15:00 hours, the command successfully apprehended one Abubakar Abdulaziz, 30 years old, of Sabuwar Santa, Musawa Local Government Area Katsina State, a suspected kidnapper and murderer of a three-year-old child.

“On March 23, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the suspect unlawfully entered the residence of Adamu Alhassan, of Bacirawa village, Musawa Local Government Area, Katsina State, while he was sound asleep, and abducted his three-year-old son to an unknown destination.
“He dropped a note instructing Adamu Alhassan to pay a ransom of N800,000 and providing a phone number for contact.”

“However, the father made contact, negotiated, and paid N150,000 to secure his child’s release, but to no avail.
“Upon receiving the report, detectives acted swiftly and were able to apprehend the suspect (Abubakar Abdulaziz) in connection with the case.
“During the course of the investigation, he confessed to having committed the crime and to having buried the child alive after receiving the ransom payment.
The investigation is still ongoing.
