FG, TUC meet over fuel subsidy removal

Representatives of the are currently in a meeting with the Federal Government at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to sources, a meeting was convened by the Federal Government at approximately 5pm to discuss the aftermath of the fuel subsidy removal.

Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), is leading the team from the Federal Government.

The team comprises of notable individuals such as Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (); Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, a former Governor of Edo state; and Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Present at the meeting are notable personalities such as the Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), Zacch Adedeji, the Executive Vice President, Downstream of the NNPCL, Yemi Adetunji, former Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dele Alake, and Hon James Faleke, among other distinguished individuals.

The TUC is represented by a group of seven individuals, with Festus Osifo serving as their President.
