The victim of the attack was left in a state of shock and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The incident has raised concerns about the escalating tensions between law enforcement agencies and military personnel, highlighting the need for better communication and understanding between these groups.

In response to the incident, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, the General Manager of LASTMA, confirmed the altercation through the Director of Operations, Mr. A. Peter. Oreagba stated that the incident has been reported to higher authorities within the army, who are now intervening in the matter. He condemned the violent act as “totally condemnable” and promised to provide further updates as the situation develops.
