The Grammy Award-winning artist made a humble plea, urging bloggers and journalists to cease reporting on events in his life. He clarified that this request was made to establish a financial arrangement with them, as he had not compensated them for their coverage in the past.

The artist, known for his chart-topping hits, took to social media to express his plea. He suggested that media organizations should come together to discuss a specific financial agreement, expressing his readiness to provide compensation for their cooperation.

Burna Boy acknowledged that he hadn’t made any payments to media organizations in the past but was now addressing this situation.

However, not everyone supported Burna Boy’s stance. Daniel criticized the artist, emphasizing the role that Nigerian media has played in his growth and success. He pointed out that while some news might be inaccurate, the media outlets have significantly contributed to Burna Boy’s recognition and accomplishments.

“Burna, the Nigerian blogs u are trying to discredit have contributed to ur growth in life; Some news might be wrong but just like fans, u owe ’em a lot of thanks.

“Many people won’t hear about u, ur wins, or projects if they hadn’t promoted it. Stop acting like u are self-made, many people paved a way for u..”

Despite the criticism, Burna Boy remained firm in his stance and even included Daniel Regha in the proposed payroll, asking him about the amount he wanted.

“Oga how much be your money?? Make you sef develop amnesia for my matter. You follow for people wey I dey talk about,” he replied.
