Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Drainage and Water Resources, has taken to social media to express his determination to see the removal of journalist Rufai Oseni from Arise TV.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain voiced his dissatisfaction with the Arise TV anchor, suggesting that Oseni should consider pursuing a Mass Communication degree.
The rift between Igbokwe and Oseni became public when the journalist engaged in a heated exchange with APC Chieftain Jesutega Onokpasa a few days ago.
This incident appears to have further fueled Igbokwe’s desire to have Oseni removed from the network.
In a Facebook post on Thursday evening, Joe Igbokwe did not hold back his criticisms of Rufai Oseni. He stated, “I will not rest until journalist Rufai Oseni is kicked out of Arise TV. This gentleman needs to be sent to the university to study Mass Communication.”
The post has since garnered attention and sparked discussions among social media users. Some have voiced their support for Igbokwe’s stance, while others have defended Oseni’s role as a journalist.
Rufai Oseni has not yet responded to the statement made by Joe Igbokwe, and it remains to be seen how this situation will develop in the coming days. The clash between the two figures has highlighted the ongoing dynamics between media personalities and political figures in Nigeria.
