Pastor Enoch Adeboye Reveals How RCCG Spent Billions Across Nigeria on Projects

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently disclosed that the church has allocated a staggering N61 billion to intervention projects nationwide.

The announcement took place at the inauguration of the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Center at Immanuel General Hospital in Eket Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom.

Represented by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Intercontinental Overseer of Christian Social Responsibility for RCCG, Adeboye highlighted the center’s features, including three new dialysis machines, a water treatment plant, and a 130 KVA generator.

“We have spent over N61 billion on intervention projects in Nigeria,”Adeboye said.

He expressed that the RCCG had invested substantially in various projects, benefiting over 154 million individuals in the last five years.

He added that RCCG had  1,200 functioning dialysis machines in their health facilities across the country.

“The initial beneficiary states are Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Bauchi, Borno, Anambra, Enugu, Akwa Ibom and Abuja.

“This dialysis center will be the 27th in the series of our specialised medical intervention; Intensive Care Units, dialysis centres, cancer screening centres, Primary Health Centers donated by the Love Foundation,” he said.

This newly inaugurated dialysis center marks the 27th in a series of specialized medical interventions by the Love Foundation, the charitable arm of RCCG.

The foundation, actively involved in social, educational, health, media, business, art, culture, governance, and sports initiatives, has established intensive care centers in Lagos, Plateau, Ogun, and Ondo states.

Adeboye announced the foundation’s commitment to establishing dialysis centers nationwide, citing 48,000 operational centers across the nation and a presence in 197 countries globally.

Despite having 225 dialysis centers in the country, Adeboye acknowledged the ongoing challenge of addressing the healthcare needs of Nigeria’s 220 million people.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom for supporting the establishment of the dialysis center in Eket.

In response, Governor Eno, who inaugurated the center, pledged to establish similar facilities in each of the state’s 10 federal constituencies.

He directed the Commissioner for Health to ensure the completion of all 10 dialysis centers by June 2024, emphasizing the need to bring these vital healthcare facilities closer to people who currently face challenges traveling long distances for dialysis.

Governor Eno also highlighted his administration’s significant investments in Primary Health Centers, assuring that staff had been approved for deployment to Immanuel General Hospital, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility for the citizens.
