Bafarawa highlighted the continuity of government, asserting that if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aims to build on current positive initiatives and revive abandoned projects, probing Buhari becomes imperative.

He underlined the significance of holding Buhari accountable, considering the promises of integrity and honesty made during his election campaigns.

The former governor argued that Buhari’s administration should not be allowed to escape scrutiny, especially given its eight-year tenure.

He stressed the potential fallout for Tinubu if an investigation is not pursued, suggesting that the public might perceive him as complicit in any wrongdoing.

Drawing parallels with Buhari’s investigation into the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Bafarawa questioned why Tinubu should shy away from a similar inquiry. He contended that any reluctance on Tinubu’s part could lead to public dissatisfaction, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.
