In a disturbing incident, suspected herdsmen have reportedly abducted three mobile policemen attached to PMF 51, Oghara, in the Ohoror community along the East-West Road in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The abducted policemen were part of a six-member team assigned to patrol the Ughelli-Patani Road nipping point, and their sudden disappearance has heightened tension in the local community. The incident unfolded while the officers were responding to a distress call, with a young man named Moses Progress alerting them to a robbery by suspected herdsmen under a nearby bridge.

The leader of the patrol team dispatched the three inspectors, armed with AK-47 rifles, to investigate the reported robbery. However, upon returning to the scene, the team found only the complainant, who informed them that the inspectors had been attacked by six herdsmen in the bush, leading to their disappearance.

The situation prompted the team to arrest the complainant, Moses Progress, after calling for backup. As of now, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Delta State command, Bright Edafe, has not been reached for comments on the incident.
